“You've always got to be aware of why you don't win, otherwise you'll keep losing. Every mistake is a learning experience and, hopefully, you won't make the same mistake again.”

The 100 Rep Challenge
Alistair Ramsay - Friday, September 03, 2010
Evening folks, hope you have had a great day, its been beautiful here in London, a great day to be outdoors training in the awesome parks we have here!
Just wanted to take a moment to introduce you to a great fitness concept I recently got introduced to......

Created by top strength coach Rannoch Donald, the 100 Rep Challenge is as simple as it sounds. Each and every day you should aim to perform 100 perfect repetitions. The repetitions can be done with a single exercise or split up into several different exercises. You can use one or two very long sets, or many shorter sets, it doesn't matter. Just get 100 perfect repetitions done per day.
Over the course of a week that is 700 repetitions which will go a long way to replacing the daily wood chopping, hunting, farming activities of our ancestors! As well as burning energy you will be building movement skills, strength and stamina, a winning combination!
It is important to note that the 100 Rep Challenge is not intended to replace your workouts, it is merely a baseline level of activity that we should all strive to achieve on a daily basis. What a great concept!
I have been giving it a shot in recent weeks using a variety of calisthenic movements, kettlebell drills and resistance cables. Normally I do my 100 Reps first thing in the morning when I wake up to get the blood flowing, it is a great way to blow off the cobwebs of a nights sleep.
Here are some of my favorite combination's so far.....
In the meantime I strongly recommend you check out the 100 Rep Challenge Website for some ideas and inspiration. There is even a facebook page with over 1000 members......join in and get involved!

"Because a thing seems difficult for you, do not think it is impossible for anyone to accomplish. But whatever is possible for another, believe that you too are capable of it."
Never Give Up
Alistair Ramsay - Wednesday, August 04, 2010
Here is a truly inspiring video starring Australian Navy Diver Paul de Gelder who was attacked by a Bull Shark whilst on a training exercise in Sydney Harbour. Paul suffered horrific injuries and had to have both his right arm and leg amputated.
Despite these appalling set backs Paul refused to give up on his physical training, the video below demonstrates the amazing feats he is still capable of.
His guts, determination and 'never give up' attitude is an inspiration to us all.
